Physical Development

Physical development supports a child’s overall wellbeing. We offer the children lots of fun physical activities such as ball games where they can choose to kick or throw the ball to their friend. Bean bag toss, an obstacle course, and we always have a climbing structure available to the children.

We also promote health and self-care, which comes under physical development in birth to 5 matters! One of the ways we do this at St Josephs is by supervised toothbrushing. Children are encouraged to independently brush their teeth after lunchtime. The children absolutely love brushing their teeth while sitting at the table together, watching the sand timer go down.
