We have our own outdoor play area where children can play imaginatively, dig and plant and develop their movement and co-ordination skills. We also have access to the school's beautiful tree lined, grass play area with adventure trail, which we use on a weekly basis.

The Nursery children regularly participate in whole school events such as World Book Day and pancake races for Shrove Tuesday! Working closely with the main school and providing opportunities for the children to experience whole school events allows for a smooth transition into our Reception class, as the children are already familiar with routines and staff.

We are fortunate to have highly dedicated and experienced members of staff to teach our 2-4 year olds in a supportive environment where all children are welcomed and valued.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and plan to include children's needs and interests. Ofsted 2014 said

‘’Teaching and learning is good and children are progressing well

because they are provided with exciting and challenging activities

...staff encourage children to become independent learners.’'

The children's well being and happiness is our highest priority and we were therefore delighted that Ofsted noted that

‘The children are happy and thoroughly enjoy the time they spend

In the nursery, quickly becoming involved in the activities available

            to them'.

We invite parents and children to come and see what we have to offer and please be assured of a very warm welcome. For further information or to arrange a visit please contact our school office on 01989 564655, we look forward to meeting you.
