Catholic Social Teaching (CST) is a set of principles that guide the Catholic Church's approach to social, economic, and political issues. It is based on Jesus' teaching to "love your neighbour as yourself." CST encourages Catholics to work for the common good, serve others, and promote peace and justice. It is inspired by Scripture, Church leaders, and grassroots movements that seek to make the world a better place.
Catholic Social Teaching at St Joseph's.
At St. Joseph's, we teach our children about Catholic Social Teaching (CST) principles. As Catholics, we believe that it is our responsibility to help those in need and take care of the world we live in.

We are so proud of the children at St. Joseph's for completing their 'Big Lent Walk'. Together they walked amazing 841Km. Each child in Key Stage 1 walked 4 km and each child in Key Stage 2 averaged 7.5 km. All of the children walked with pride and determination to complete the challenge. They took in the beautiful scenery and we were blessed with a lovely weather too! At the very top of the hills we said a prayer and enjoyed a picnic lunch together. Through sponsorship the children have raised a great deal of money for CAFOD who do amazing work and bring hope and compassion to poor communities, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice.
